Random Gaming Thoughts (Read OP Before Posting)

I just got that spark of inspiration and decided that with my tax return this year, I was going to use part of it to get a couple more SNES reproduction carts.
So I go to the only place I've ever actually ordered one from (and also one of the most well-known, far as I can tell), Timewalk Games, and find that they just stopped taking orders a few days ago! Like... for good.
What.
The.
Fuck.
Not sure where to get this stuff now.

I just ordered Terranigma from them a week ago...

... this makes me a little worried. I hope they honor their sales before the decision to stop production.

They should. It just said that they stopped taking orders, not that they were cancelling all operations. Everything I've ever read about them says they're really trustworthy (which is why they're the only one I've ordered from), so I'm sure yours will be fine.

Just finished recording the narration for the last Time Crisis video. Weirdly, I didn't even expect to do it; got out the microphone because I hadn't used it in a while, just wanting to test it in possible preparation for something. Ended up spending an hour and a half recording the whole project.
Still have to actually edit the video (which takes a little while), but it's closer to completion either way. This is gonna be the tumbnail:

Will be interested to hear your thoughts on TC4, I found it a disappointment and I've been following the series since its inception. In some ways, it's still my favourite Namco series of them all.

^^That may as well be a summation of the video.
Basic thought is that the games post-TC3 were good lightgun shooters, but didn't capture the feel of the old games for various reasons, so they feel like disappointments to longtime fans.

So I took everything out of my Wizard's Edition to show my cousin who's in town from Germany, and I couldn't figure out how to position that flap to make everything fit back inside right. So we started looking up unboxing videos and no one seems to show it from the top before they start taking shit out lol. Either way, stumbled upon an unboxing of the PAL version by someone sporting a Shenmue jacket. Just thought it was cool

Drakengard 3 CE is up for preorder. They are doing a tiered system like Namco did with Ni No Kuni and adding stuff based on how many people preorder. Just ordered mine.

After playing Nier, that one is damn tempting. And after watching the newest trailer for Drakengard 3, the Japanese voiceover DLC seems like a necessity.

GOD, that voice acting sucks. Or at the very least, some of the lines sound too ridiculous in English for me to take them seriously. Bummer that the Japanese voices are being relegated to DLC, but it's better than not having them at all I guess.
Nice little LE either way. 90-something bucks (as it is with shipping included) is a little steep, but I may go for it anyway.
This does make me want to go back and finish the original games though.

And you know what the best part is? It's exclusive to NA. Not only that, we're only getting it digital only; no physical release, nevermind collector's edition, we're not getting a standard release. And if we want to import it? We can't; it's exclusive to Square-Enix NA's online store and they don't ship to anywhere outside the US. Oh yeah, and the Japanese voice acting, the extra DLC missions, costumes and stuff? Only available if you pre-order (if you're in the US). Fucking grand.

Really pissed off about it.
