I was also a big fan of swat kats back in the day, wtf happened to hannah barbara? They were still on a roll even during the 90s, I think things changed shortly after those days though. I think cartoon network wanted to do some different things, toonami happened in lik 98 or 99 and the afternoon block changed from more traditional Cartoon Network/Hannah Barbara cartoons to anime and the like. Wish Hannah Barbara was still a factor though, they made many very quality cartoons, wish they still kept up production over all these years.

Picked up a Vostro 1710 from the carboot for a fiver
Image

Its got a 1200p display and a beefy graphics chip. A beefy core2due and it came with no ram or HDD
The bloke told me it had a faulty keyboard but it was much worse

The keyboard was fine but it suffered from the nvidia "inherent defect"
Had to reflow the chip with a soldering iron but it now all works and its a beast of a machine.

The only thing to fix now is battery.

Also got 4 old thinkpads.
If there are any other thinkpad fanatics here just lemmie know and ill ramble on about em :P

^^ THIS!
like DEATH, TAXES, and nurses being a certainty in life, there's always call for electronics repairs.
...
can do basic repairs, but not on any professional level, hands are too shaky for the extremely fine works. :P

Bought this enclosure to use with a hard drive I took out of an old laptop. The silver colour looks nice with the Mac I've used it with..

It is very thin and light. Not even any fiddly screws, just clamps together. A steal for £4..

I got a Playstation TV for $30. It's cool but you know, limited. For $30 its worth it though.

Sony Bravia KDL-W70C5 40"

I had to replace my Sony Bravia today. After seven years of faultless service, it faded almost completely to black and had major burn-in image. I shed a single tear..

I guess 7 years is ok, but I remember when a television would last 20-30 years.

I don't get it.
Why are flatscreens so delicate?

Flybacks should last no longer than a month with the stress they go under but I rarely find a knackered CRT.

Is it cheap caps frying everything coz I always see caps failing in flatscreens.

Also its worth mentioning backlights and inverters are shite (Implying LED's are more consistent).

Being back here in California for the past few weeks and I was robbed. My sisters apartment was broken into and they took many other things, computers, TV, car keys etc.
Both my bags with clothes and most importantly my really expensive camera and more expensive lens were stolen too.

Luckily I had insurance and am getting a check back for everything..so I was able to upgrade to this.
