Nintendo released a life sim game in Japan that allowed for same sax relationships if the player in question so chose. Thankfully, those that don't approve of certain gamers playing style can now breath a sigh of relief. Nintendo is "fixing" the games relationships for players by removing the option. How thoughtful of them.

So did I. Im glad they've realised what an important factor Europe is overall. Japan has been considered a 'safe' territory according to rumours of the early launch in the West.

Yeah Sony could release the PS4 3 years after MS release XBox One in Japan and still out sell it in less than a month.

US could be MS again and Europe was neck and neck by large this gen so that's the main interesting one. Also be interesting to see if MS can keep hold of the UK.

I think we will see similar sales in each country for the next gen.

One thing that we never had carry over from past systems is gamertags with stuff like friends lists. When the people who only play Fifa and CoD bought systems they would choose between 360 and PS3 by what their friends had so they could play together. People are going to be playing Fifa on the 360 and see on their friends list people playing Xbox One games and that will nudge them towards that over the PS4. I think the people who stuck to one system are going to stick with the same company simply to keep stuff like their friends list. Having stuff like gamertags has created a type of ecosystem now it's just a shame downloadable games haven't been able to carry over as that could have helped even more. It sounds small but I can see it mattering.

That's a very good point about sticking with the same system, actually. For me there wouldn't be any hesitation about buying a PS4 if I decided I wanted a next-gen system simply because I've solely had a PS3 for years now. It was the same going from Xbox to 360..

Yeah even Japan. I think this generation will have all 3 systems close rather then one runaway like the PS2 or Wii.

Yeah i would be surprised if we see a console dominate again and i doubt we will ever see sales like the PS2 had.

Be interesting to see how many jump because its likely more games will offer cross platform MP. Destiny is confirmed to have it i believe? And Bungie have even said they may look into letting you carry saves over if you upgrade.

Not going to happen as games fade out and devs move to newer systems. This isn't PS2.

Apparently they have a BIG XBox 360 announcement for E3. Could be a big price drop and in that case they probably will shift a lot of consoles but i would be surprised if they reach 100M.
