This has the clearest image I've ever seen on a Project Berkley related video!

good lord. is that still sourced from the vf3 promotional disc? very clean image compared to whats already out there.

you can actually make out the terracotta warriors holding spears and on horse back being drawn back during the glowing head statue scene.

you can also see that there is mist or water below the glowing head and a platform rises up to form a bridge to it. i assume this allows someone to collect the objects thats revealed in its mouth.

hong kong scenes seem a bit too dark though.

some screen captures would be nice. :)

Goddamn Shenmue. The tracks it has to offer won't
go out of my mind. The Shenmue theme was
replaying in my head that I lost focus during
science class.

Perhaps this question has been asked, but why when Iwao dies and the camera rises up. We see a hole in the roof. Do you think it was a lightning strike or a director's course ?

I always wondered that myself. maybe in the early version lan di summons a lightning strike to kill iwao. lol, probably not since its not in the saturn video.

it does make a good directorial shot like you say, but there has to be an actual reason for it being there.

magic escaping from the mirror in an early version?

. . . I've never noticed that! *speechless* Good observation. Now questions arise. - I bet it has something to do with Lan Di's presence, which causes a change on the weather, specifically a start of rain and thunders.

I think Project Berkley footage was prior to the concepts applied to Shenmue: Saturn Edition? - I think the Saturn edition is closer to the Dreamcast version, and Project Berkley is the very early concepts.

Listen to what Tkyo Sam says as he finishes his play-through of Shenmue. I'm sure many of you can can relate to what he says.

I think I'm getting the urge to finally play through Shenmue again. It's been years since the last time. I think I always ended up turned off from it since I knew that once I got back to Shenmue II, it'd have that weird audio-delay glitch that the Xbox version eventually develops (never looked into it; is that a problem with the disc or the system? Which would I need to replace?) and always lost interest after that thought.
But the original game is sounding awfully appealing lately, so I may actually haul out the Dreamcast for the first time in years and go to town (that town being Dobuita, of course; maybe Tokyo-to also).

I've had the same urge to play, and by play i mean walk around aimlessly and enjoy the sights :) beat the game and do it again. I've been listening to a lot of music from Shenmue recently and need to download some tunes from 2.

This girl gets angry when she's compared to a cat. But why does she get THIS upset?

After watching the Gametrailers twitch playthrough, I decided to play Shenmue 2 once again. I can't believe the graphics still holds up to this day. It was a blast!
One thing wonder, I didn't see any animals in Shenmue 2 aside from that cutscene with Shenhua in Guilin. Strange.
