Hm, sorry if this is in the wrong section, but what if you hacked the game date past the bad ending?
Perhaps, August 5th?

What would happen?

i think you can even play on without hacks. i guess if u never do your work at the harbor so you gain no cash although you drive that forklift, you maybe cant get the bad ending scene.

Mr Chow,

Good to see your finally on the forums.

Since the game doesnt have any metadata for that time era, it refers to a default set of dynamics for everything and behaves as if you were in free roam. Nothing happens and day night continues to cycle. However, it is hard to get the game in this state without the game forcing the bad ending everytime it loads a map.

The bad ending is the true ending imo. Only fanatics get to the bad ending because if you love Shenmue that much you will play everyday you can
