GAME OVER

[PHX64]

Does anyone know why after I've rescued Nozomi on disc 3 and saved it, that the game goes to a cut scene with Lan Di asking Ryo for the mirror, killing him and it saying 'GAME OVER'?
I cant get it to do anything else? There's no QTE or anything that I can do to avoid Ryo dying.
Any help really apreciated.

I couldn't imagine progressing this long in the game and far into the calendar without specifically trying to. My first time through I know I went into mid January and I thought that was late. Really happy that this happened to someone naturally and they got an actual reaction to it. Yes it sucks, but at least he was surprised I guess.

This is probably what happened but I still want to know the date to see if somehow his game is acting weird.

But yes, you must do things before a certain date or it's game over!

I did take my time as I didn't realise it was time based.

I was just soaking up the atmosphere.

It's like no other game I've played.

You can keep your GTA's and COD's.

The question is, is do I have another go as I've always replaced my save game with the next one?
Or start on Shenmue 2?

I feel a bit robbed that I've invested so much time in Shenmue to be let down right at the end and cant change the outcome.

Poor guy. Just start your game over and try again. Trust me, you'll be replaying this game for years to come. One replay wont be that hard.

Yep. start from the beginning. You've probably missed a shitloada secrets anyway, so it'll be worth it. Where abouts in Manc you from?

yes please replay it. Find some secrets and fly through it. The ending is definitely worth it.

Wow, I think this is quite literally the first we've heard of someone triggering the Bad Ending by accident But yes by all means start again and play the game through to the real end, you won't regret it
