I'd like some honest opinions and input. I've had a PVR for a while now and finally came across Open Broadcaster, an open source program for live streaming. I was using X-Split though it's pay service and convoluted nature really turned me off. I did some test streams via Open Broadcaster and they came out great. I just ordered a clip mic so I could clearly present my voice while listening and even talking via my gaming headset seamlessly. I'm happy to have the hardware for leisure purposes, though with it all in place started to think of some bigger things I could do.
I was thinking of doing some scheduled broadcasts on a per disc basis, in order not to burn out and make it easier and more enjoyable for viewers. It'd also give it a chance to catch on. The great thing here is I have the PVR-1 which allows, composite, s-video and most of all component. I have the transcoder to go from VGA to component from my old set up (just posted it in another thread) thus the stream would be the official Dreamcast version running original GD-Rom discs in crystal clear fashion. There's something said for running the original software via the original hardware in an upgraded fashion versus emulation streams and I think many would appreciate it.
Just gaining interest here because like anything and everything in this community, it takes support from all ends. Presented in the right manner and promoted properly, this could be a great awareness event for our Tweetathon's, community and overall ambitions in general.
