They were pretty much the only gaming store in America who had the game printed. Basically it's a GameStop exclusive title, which sucks. And it's in high demand by people who like JRPGs.

They could do this. Shenmue 3 should start 15 years after Ryo went in the cave. Yu should adjust the story so that Ryo actually did get stuck in the cave for all those years, he and Shenhua only surviving by eating cave algae all day and making passionate cave love all night. That way it could have PS4's (consoles are now legal in China) and it would be a suitable allegory for Yu's as well as all our lives in the interim years. Ryo could also have developed some powers like X ray vision while he was in the cave. Oh man, just let me write Shenmue 3!

The thing is, Ryo got stuck in that cave in 1987. 15 years later would put us in 2002, so I think a PS2 or Dreamcast is doable (ignoring Ryo's ability to get consoles from the future, such as a Sega Saturn in 1986).

In Ryo's 1986 however, he was already playing games at home on a Saturn. If the console generations advanced from that point at the same rate as it did for us, he would be about 5/8 through the X360 PS3 generation.

Keep in mind that Ryo only got a Sega Saturn early because his father has Segata Sanshiro spirit in his body.
And Lan Di's intentions were completely different then they seem. He's actually a highly disguised agent of the Japanese government who had to kill Iwao for possessing a device that has future technology in it!

To be honest it would've been soooo much better if Ryo had a Mark III and you could actually win cartridges of the arcade ports of Hang-On and Space Harrier for that system at the raffle. Would make more sense and the raffle wins would be even more desireable, let alone that there are essentialy two more games in the game.
