Shenmue Neogaf Community Thread Is HERE!!

Hey Dojo.

We finally have a Shenmue Community thread over at Neogaf. This is all thanks to our good friend IrishNinja. I think we can all agree that this is well overdue.

What this means is that we now have an extra outlet to expand the Shenmue fanbase, #saveshenmue campaign, projects, videos, etc.

Thousands and thousands of people will see Shenmue daily. This thread will revolve around everything Shenmue, so if you have an account, feel free to subscribe. I will be actively including everyone's work into the thread, so that you all get the recognition that you deserve. Check out the thread below.

Nice work. As I wrote in another thread, I've been visiting NeoGAF for many years as a reader and noticed the Shenmue Defense Force quickly. It was great to see that there was more support beyond this forum and an "official thread" now is a bonus.

And I must say that the FAQ has very relevant questions and answers. They're exactly the ones that keep on popping up in discussions all over the internet. And the ones fans are tired of seeing.

The good thing about having this thread on neogaf, is that there will be a continuous Shenmue discussion 24/7. That place is really active.

Yeah, the fact that it is so active is why I sometimes specifically search for information there. Certain threads go into more detail or provide more insider news than regular news sites. In any case, I'll keep an eye on that thread, just as a few others that I have bookmarked.

Def a long process. You have to sign up and then wait for your account to be approved manually. It took me about 2 months. I have heard others being approved within a week though, so I'd say sign up.

That's mostly why I never bothered to register there actually. Especially when I can't post as frequently these days.

Id probably say make an account anyway, and just forget about it for the next month or so. You may get lucky, and get approved sooner than you think.

Im pretty sure Giorgio got an account within 2 weeks. I'd encourage all Dojo members to give it a try.

Nice neogaf threads, sadly I can't subscribe to them due to some atrocious register policies on neogaf.
Anyway any thread in any forum about Shenmue is wellcome.

We'll see. I'm just quite busy these days and can't post as often in general. So it would feel kind of pointless to create an account if it's hardly ever used. In any case I'm lurking over there and checking some threads including the Shenmue ones ;)

Yeah, I signed up there almost two months ago and they still haven't "approved" my account. I don't know why they're so strict about letting people in, but whatever. I heard it's pretty easy to get banned there too. Also, the place seems full of weeaboos after reading through a few threads.
