Starting to get really stoked about this. Seeing Yu's proud grin is making me melt.

Can't wait to see what they have to say.

Its what I always wanted Shenmue to be. To actually be in Doboutia, and when I look around 360° I can see all around of me in first person! That's beyond a dream!

But either way, announcement or no announcement, this is a pretty big day for Shenmue. Its got a feeling about it. A buzz. It feels great!

I remember watching a really old youtube vid of Yu ( i think pre shenmue, saturn times) and when someone asked him what he thinks will be the future of gaming he replied VR/Virtual reality,Sega apparently had there own VR headset in the works around 1993 but was later cancelled.

With VR making a big buzz in the gaming industry and now with Sony unveiling a prototype (which says to me it's definitely going to be released at some point),i think 2015 will be the year When VR goes mainstream and i think it could very well be the final big revolution in gaming,I've never actually experienced or used anything VR related but when you read the articles on various tech/game sites of people who have used them they are ecstatic but how immersive it is,granted the actual headset are not perfect but i think the technology is getting close to the point of ironing out those issues.

What im excited and worrying about is weather or not i need to shell out $400 for a ps4 just to play shenmue :P
Of course i will but i don't tend to play game at all anymore so i'd kinda be buying it just for shenmue, unless there will be a pc port...highly doubtful.

Feels like I am at a tailgate party, minus a beer, waiting for the big game to kick off. Giving up United's Champions League match tonight for this. Oh and also a childhood friend who is visiting from Texas. Its OK though, fuck him. He's a melt anyways

Well lets be honest you have less chance of disappointment with this compared to a UTD game.

I cannot stand the build up to this. I cannot even concentrate at work without checking Twitter, Here and so on. I would buy whatever console this if any is developed for.

I can't wait for it the show to start now. I actually dreamed about this tonight! There was no real mentioning of Shenmue III or something but they showed a trailer where Ryo get's of a train and slowly makes his way trough the crowd and then suddenly he turned around and ran back to the train to catch it, as it was already starting to move. Really strange stuff but thinking about the Project Berkley trailer just now... Ryo actually did ride a train there.

Like others, I'm excited but cautious about getting too hyped! However it will still be great to get an insight on the original games, especially given how much production values in gaming have moved on in the last decade.

I wouldn't hold my breath for a shenmue 3 announcement, I only hope they talk deep and profound about how the game was made and the transition from the sega saturn to the Dreamcast, I guess it is the best I'll get from that postmortem afterall.

Yes I thought the Saturn tech demo was very impressive, always wished we could see more of that
