Hi guys !

Anyone good at providing Shenmue Goods value ?

I am currently looking for Shenmue Mugs and posters (i have the Niao Sun one, missing Ren, Ryo, Shenhua) and i need all 4 mugs (can get my hands on 3, but no deal made yet), but i wanted to know if any of you had an idea of how much they'd go for nowadays or even how much you'd spend if they'd be on ebay ?
I dont want to rush things, but Shenmue goods are getting even more rare each day and it's been a while since i've seen mugs available.

The mugs and the posters are among some of the hardest pieces of merchandise to find so their value will be high. I would guess all 4 posters could fetch in the $200-$300 range, but could go for much more. There aren't many hardcore Shenmue collectors, but the few that do collect are willing to go pretty high on rare things like these.

I lost a bid on the Ren mug awhile ago and my max bid was $220, just to give an example there.

I've been actively looking for the Ren and Shenhua mugs forever. They're among the last few things I need to cap off my collection. If you're not interested in the mugs you can potentially get, believe me- I would be. I actually have 2 Ryo mugs, and duplicates of a few other very nice pieces of merch.

If you were ever interested in working something out, or if your line on the mugs can get more let me know. I reeeeally want those last 2 mugs.

You guys know that Yahoo Japan is your best bet for Shenmue goodies, right? Always has better stuff for better prices than ebay does. I remember in like 09/10 or something when I first checked there for Shenmue stuff there was one of those Ryo mugs. It was nowhere near that expensive but I was indecisive and someone else ended up buying. I'm sure one will pop up if you keep checking though. Yahoo jp is definitely the place to look for this stuff. I got my sealed OST and and bunch of Shenmue themed phone cards from there. Fuck knows why on earth I bought those phonecards lol. I guess they were cute. I had a super cute Nozomi one which I was hoping to give to my true love .

Even if ebay is more expensive, here in Europe you'll pay a lot of shipping costs + custom + taxes.

I only ordered a Phantasy Star Online figure in Japan. It was around 20€ + Shipping + 30€ of custom + 20% taxes so....

I guess it depends really. But somethings (like that mug for example) I reckon would work out a fair bit cheaper from Yahoo JP. I picked up those phonecards for hardly anything off yahoo jp, and then when I ended up selling them on ebay they went for 30 quid or something. Some things on Yahoo jp can be a rip off as well of course.

And always get your proxy to mark the items down, so that way you won't get stung by customs.

Yeah man sorry, I couldn't hold out for my true love (apologies in advance to her too). It was the Valentines day special one that you're talking about right? lol. Or something like that. Do you have the one with her and ryo on the bike? I liked that one too.

But wowser to the price of those mugs. I had no idea they went for that much. Crazy.

The Valentine's day special is Joy not Nozomi. I don't recall seeing a phone card with Ryo and Shenhua on the bike.

Ah right, I forget. Yeah, I had that Joy one and the one with Nozomi in the kimono or whatever, and the one on the very left. Never had the one of her face on the right. I swear I had one with her (Nozomi) and Ryo on the bike, but maybe I was just imagining it then?

Also, can someone link me to what the 4 posters look like. I still have a poster I think, but don't know it it's one of the official ones or not.

Check out this Yu Suzuki signed Shenhua poster that went up on YAJ last year. Seller was asking for 50,000 yen!

I'd have paid 50 000 yen for that Shenhua poster, trust me.

As for the mugs, i did not pay, it was a trade so i don't really mind. But all i can say is : yeah, it was expensive lol...

I better avoid giving the price because if i do and spread how much i had to spend, it'd probably get the price even more expensive and i am sure you do not wish that.
