Perfect Rip with 'DX Ripper' (Next version known as Ninja Ripper)

The T-pose function doesnt always work (hopefully I can get ryo in T pose)

Nice!, I've been trying myself to T-pose Ryo from sonic all star...manually, but it is so dificult.

I had a go at manually t-posing too, its tedious. (I think the best method is to rig ryo in his driving pose and try to unfold him that way) Thats a just a boring last resort, however I do like this Ryo Rip with the hair intact.

Ive just started testing 'Ninja Ripper' which is very similar to DX Ripper (above) it imports directly into 3DS max , but requires odd settings in oder to get the textures applied correctly.

I'm Now using Windows 7 64bit , which '3D Ripper DX 1.8.1' does not work it also seems that its development is now dead. I should be able to run it inside XpMode/Virtual Machine

As Ive mentioned before I have ripped the Ryo Bike & Ryo Forklift .file from the All Stars 1 .xpac file, I hoping that someone might be able to rip the original model directly

This is a VERY strange (and late) Xmas present because I ripped this on Xmas Day and didnt even know it !

I seriously don't remember trying to rip ryo on xmas day ( dont think I was THAT drunk) but whats stranger is I really dont remember using 'DX Ripper133' .
Normally I would just use 3D Ripper DX181 (ninja Ripper is the new name of DX ripper133)
I have a vauge recollection that It worked with Milkshape and so tried it because I had it.

What probabally happened is I imported the models into Milkshape and it showed this crap.

I now know this is what happens when you try to import too many objects into Milkshape at one time.

So I had a look with Noesis this evening (which ive never used before) and saw this.

I exported each bodypart into OBJ via Noesis and combined them in 3DS max,
I just dragged and dropped the correct texture file onto RYO there you have it !
Ready for a proper rigging.

ADDITIONAL INFO ABOUT RIPPING

Ninja Ripper is tricky to use (only seems to work with 3ds max and the UVs have strange settings)

I got dxrip133 to work with Sega&Sonic Transformed by using the 'advanced method' by renming and pasting the d3d9.dll and settings.ini into the EXE folder,
THIS WONT WORK ON 'Sega All stars1' because it uses its own settings.ini for graphics setup.
So I assume I must have used the dxrip133 Injector to capture This T-posed Ryo ( I wasnt even trying to get a T-pose lol ) and I cant remember if I used Xp/XpMode or Win 7.

I'm crying T_T I wasted A LOT of time trying to tpose ryo from both shenmue and soart, this could lead to the ultimate ryo mesh.
I also tried ninja ripper with soart but the models didn' come in t pose.

A few new Characters for Dobuita perhaps ?

I was thinking Akira (Ryo's doppelganger) could be a Sensei in a New Dojo in Dobuita (no mercy in this dojo)
and Jacky Can be Tom's Dad ! (or work in a bike shop)

I ripped nearly all of the Sega all stars Cast In 1 rip when they were at the starting line .. in the Tpose

Can you shere your settings.ini config? I've been trying to rip Ulala, Beat and other dreamcast era characters from sonic all star racing transformed, following your previous tips using dxrip133, and no matter what, they don't come in T pose.

These are the settings.ini for dxripper133
I havent changed any of them since I downloaded it.

I've just tried a few rips from Transformed with dxrip133 and they are all sitting down, the fact that Tpose is even possible still blows my mind , but Ive only got the Tposes from All Stars 1. Ive had more sucess with dxrip133 than ninja ripper (which is odd if NinjaRip is supposed to be a newer version), might just take a while to figure out what kind of game settings affect the Tpose function (I dont mean the ones below, I mean like DirectX call functuions) Hopefully It wont be long before a flawless DX ripper is made.
(When Ninja Rip works the textures always seem to be placed upside down and the original image just needs flipping vertically)

If you guys are interested I can put Ryo into San Andreas. I also need to learn how to make vehicles so I'll need them too.
