Dude, Shenmue 1 ROCKS. Get a beer from me whenever you come to Germany for that. A half beer if you only had Shenmue II on DC...

Always gotta start with the first. I still remember buying it at the Lincoln outdoor market. Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it displayed. Played nothing like I expected, and it failed to live up to the promises that multiple magazines made, but it was still awesome enough to keep me hooked these last fifteen years.

Hell yeah. I was one of these "earn a lot" douches back in the day and when i saw Shenmue in like early 2000 i bought a dreamcast just because of that game. Never did regret it. Well although the dreamcast is a bit "worn out" these days. Sometimes it will randomly reset in the middle of the game. I guess it's just getting old... Like some of us...

Is it worth directing people to DC emulators and roms for SI & SII?

If people get into it they may contribute to the kickstarter before the 31 days are up.

Possibly create a torrent + idiot proof guide on how to install & run Shenmue?

Brought my Dreamcast to friends' houses, brought up the game with my gaming friends, occasionally cosplayed Ryo, stayed active on the forums (moreso GameFAQs than here, admittedly), did the occasional video/site. Right now it's mostly tweeting and Facebooking.

People who know me know I love Shenmue. I wear the jacket, rock a few keychains, drink my green tea from a Shenmue mug... mildly obsessed, perhaps, hahah. Xbox copies of Shenmue II have been so cheap the last decade or so that I buy them anytime I see them, and give them to friends with Xboxes and 360s who aren't familiar with the game.

I was thinking about finally making a twitter account, guess now's a good a time as any.

I don't have a lot of faith in this doing anything, but what the hell right?
People who are taking part are at least trying to get there voices heard, unlike me who stays silent, and complains when nothing Shenmue related happens.

Can't wait to see what happens on the 3rd.

In the past I have always tried to bring up Shenmue on the other forums I post at; and I frequently mention it as one of my favorite game series of all time.

But as for trying to get my IRL friends to support the KickStarter I will most likely just post a facebook link. While for all of my online friends I will just make a single thread over on the other sites I post at (^_^=)

That would bring a couple of thousands backers or so...
