The voiceover you added from Shenmue 2 at the start of the video, actually really brings this scene to life and shows you just how much potential there actually can be with this engine.

It's kinda funny to think how much of an improvement the often bashed English dub of Shenmue II can make over what they did for the Kickstarter trailer. The music does a lot too.

Of course, one thing I don't think i've seen mentioned recently is that the kickstarter scene appears to be a recreation/reimagining of a scene from guilin in Shenmue II. If you want some inspiration James

I'd speculate that this implies the third game may start back in Guillin, with the journey and walk with Shenhua as a tutorial/bring players up to speed through flashbacks, then picking up where we left off.

At the end of Shenmue 2 Ryo visits Guilin, said to be the most beautiful region in China. The area is famous for landscape paintings, and it has a river called the Li river. Shen Hua’s house is located on a tributary of the river. The story of Shenmue 2 ends at the point where Ryo reaches Shen Hua’s house, and the story of Shemue 3 continues right from there.

There was another missing chapter between Kowloon and Guilin that was supposed to take place on Li River. Just makes me wonder if it's now gonna be reshuffled into Shenmue III or even used as one if these flashbacks.
