Yeah, HDR lighting in Unreal is awesome.

I still don't know much about the blueprint stuff they're doing but seems like a nice workflow for reusable code.

But it's not like you put some rocks and it'll look like that.

To be honest I'm kinda harsh that I'm using unity for my game project, but I have the mechanics and workflow locked down.

Specially since I bought merchandise.

Unreal global illumination is great, they have visual shader script. I love the Csharp in unity. but Unreal seems like an Unreal engine (also cryEngine is quite REALLY awesome, but the community is not as big as in unity/unreal, for development that's a big plus).

ignore super mario, how amazing is this environment! and the animals. i can imagine future shenmue locations looking something like this. this actually reminds me of the view looking out from that platform in Kowloon, the one where those children are playing on Dragon Street. imagine if it looked like this!

That's impressive! But should Shenmue III look "real" or should it keep an "anime/comics" feeling like the first 2 episodes?
I must admit that i would prefer the latter, though with enhanced details.

That enviroment looks insane. If Guilin in Shenmue 3 looks half as good as that, it'll look 10x as good as most of the shite they're putting out on these so called "Next Gen" consoles
