Perfect way to illustrate your lack of arguments.

The thread purpose is a debate (an interesting one). What is the point if we cannot confront opposite views ?

Some people, some medias will try to criticize Shenmue by claiming the kickstarter is a flop, especially since the 10 million step has been announced. Some others will really believe this idea and I don't find them especially stupid.

Rather kissing each other, we should consider all the points of views as much as possible. And believe me, saying bad things about Shenmue gives me pain.

Is this Kim Jong Il's kingdom here or somewhat ?

I say about 5.7 million. Which means we need Yu Suzuki to open up a paypal option after the kickstarter is finished.

lots of new shenmue articles appearing thanks to the brothers charity school and shenmue's new status as a top 10 most funded kickstarter. hope this helps keep up the pledge momentum.

Some media will be negative no matter what concerning Shenmue. I don't care. The game is for us, the fans. Look at the number of Dreamcasts sold, look at the number of copies this game sold (with II not released on DC in the US), look how many years have passed. Facts don't lie, this is a massive success.

Now is the time to come together, not fight.

Let's be realistic. Shenmue 3 needs to have "professional" investment. People or companies that are going to invest in the game in return for a profit in sales. That together with 1 or 2 corporate sponsorships to have some kind of marketing in the game.

In oder to reach out to those investors, surpassing bloodstaine0, even if only by 1$ would make a huge difference. All negotiations would start with "the most funded game in kickstarter ever".

I think at this point is really the highest goal we can aim for (and it's not going to be easy... 1.1 million left)

If it comes to that - sure. I'm in.

I think that's actually what we should start to aim for towards the end, rather than necessarily beating bloodstained on financial amount, we should aim to win on number of backers (maybe the money would come naturally). At the very least, it's another thing that can drive up some interest.
