Well, ,maybe it means he will come to China if you call him in Yokosuka (or maybe Joy if Guizhang is already in Hongkong by the time Ryo leaves the cave) and tell him where you are.

Well they introduced the idea of Gui Zhang coming back at some point, unlike some other characters that got left behind for good.

Keep in mind he has to recover first, then travel by sea, trace Ryo and finally reach the villages. Thats not something that was gonna happen any soon imo.

Who says he has to travel by sea? Guizhang is not as broke as Ryo, he could afford a flight to Hongkong.

Maybe it's a "free scroll" ? Like you can buy it later in the game ? (like the scrolls that master mo gives you ?)

maybe. it could be that you get 'early access' to this scroll that you would usually acquire later in the game. that would be much better than never being able to have it at all.

i hope they receive enough inquiries so they can give us some more information about it.

I doubt you'll hear any word on it. They want as many people as possible to fund the Kickstarter. If they announced that they'll accept donations and offer rewards after the KS ends, then they'd be no sense of urgency and it could put people off donating in the next 10 days.

They probably want to keep quiet on it so that those who haven't pledged yet will think "shit, I better donate before it's too late".

That makes sense to me. It seems like they're getting smarter at this crowd funding game. I'd say they'll definitely have a post-KS campaign, but they won't announce it until after the KS has finished.

Awesome rewards! Giving the folk back home a bell was one of the things I missed in Shenmue 2.

The fact it's some DLC makes me think that it won't be anything groundbreaking but something very throwaway like in the first game. It's a shame as I thought that calling Nozomi or home could blend into the story somehow. It's amazing though that it costs more to get a new jacket than this reward.

Anyone notice the campaign is moving quite nicely today? It's great playing Shenmue and at the same time watching the counter go up.

It's really great, definitely something for the fans that are not new to the franchise and that's why it's so perfect. Because those that are most likely to back the game are those that have already played the previous games, so this incentive pulls at their nostalgia.

I think they were repling to the question the guy asked about the whole $800 reward, they could have replied thinking that the question was for the names on the temple walls, rather than the actual scroll. I would like specific confirmation that only the technique scroll will be or won't be offered somewhere at some point to the higher backers.
