Demul v0.7 alpha 070715

by many requests we decide to make public build of emulator to show and share current stage of its development.
its an alpha/preview quality product so take it AS IS.
it includes new features and new systems mentioned in this topic, many bugs fixed, as well as several unfinished parts, like new DX11NG render.
enjoy.

Demul v0.7 alpha 080715

quick followup:
- somewhat fixed save/load state for DX11NG
- adjusted sound volume, was too loud, notable in Atomiswave games

Demul v0.7 alpha 090715

another quickfix:
- fixed broken a long time ago SH3 serial port, Cave Medal Mahjong playable again
- minor romset correction

more bugfixes:
- better G2 DMA edge cases handling
- brake in Atomiswave racing games works again
- fix crash in ROM-based SystemSP games
- weird AICA LSA/LEA handling tweaks

Demul v0.7 alpha 190715

- Crackin' DJ 1&2 playable
- Ferrari F355 Deluxe have sound/music
- fix Naomi 2 materials, lights refactor
- foolproof VMU files creation
- remember last path in gdrCHD, gdrImage, etc
- better Xinput deadzone handling
- fix GDI audio in gdrCHD (this plugin is recommended now for usage with GDI images too)
- workarounds for newest ATI bugs in 15.7 drivers
- SH4 MMU fixes & improvements, Shenmue's Afterburner II minigame playable
- several minor tweaks

Thoughts

So, ive played on this release of Demul for around 3 hours and it runs great. ive had one ore 2 minor slowdowns buts is been butter smooth the rest of the time.

They seem to have fixed the audio issues as well.

I'll still have to use nulldc, without frame cap it can run shenmue at around 150fps wereas demul runs at 9-3 fps on my PC something to do with my GPU not supporting direct 11 I guess.

Oh my... It.... It's perfect. The occasional stutter; but that could be 300000 things and it's minor at worst.... AND I can move my NullDC saves over with minimal effort

I can also confirm that its working REALLY well! Apart from some very minor sound bugs during heavy loading (during scene changes maybe the odd notebook viewing) it runs flawlessly and everything looks so clear and crisp! Almost through disc 2 already!

Took me about an hour configuring everything but the emulator is beautiful, was running Shenmue at 4K, no glitches or graphical issues, no transparent hair and both arcade games work in Shenmue I! Was running at 60 FPS the entire time, the game really looks gorgeous and i was surprised that many textures actually were quite detailed even at that resolution. I didn't have any sound issues. Only thing is the sky does look slightly pixelated but due to the high resolution.

that's great any chance you could tell me some key settings you changed? I'm playing in 1080 and will continue to but if there is anyway to boost performance would love to know!

Every time I've tried to download Demul I've gotten weird errors...and the readme was in a different language. Even when using Google Translate I couldn't make sense of the instructions.

I'm at work so I can't download this right now but can you guys tell me what I would need to do to get this to run? That's if there is anything special I need to do.

Wow the sound... Finally almost perfect sound from a DC emulator. Demul was pretty bad when it came to sound, nullDC had problems aswell. But now this. I gotta test it further to see how good it really is.

The new graphics plugin is not so hot. Framerate is displayed as 30 but it runs chuggy somehow.
And the old DX11 plugin is completely broken, at least for me. No textures! Never seen Shenmue II like this. :lol:

They're shouldn't be anything you need to update. But download the latest directx runtime. Also, what graphics cards do you have?

Geforce GTX 970. The older version of Demul used to run just fine on DX11.

Strange! I have the same card and no issues. Looks like a driver issue though. Not got any global tweaks set up in the Geforce settings have you? Cloud always try uninstalling the drivers and installing again.

It's probably something stupid but I can't find any reference for this error online. Have you guys seen this before?
