Will Ryo's original backpack and watch return?

So we all know the signature green backpack and watch that Ryo carries. But will they surely return in Shenmue III?

The thing is they are both licensed and modelled after real world product and we don't know yet if this kind of product placement is feasible for Shenmue III. It would be a bit lame if they replace them with some generic stuff.

For those who don't know, Ryo carries a Case Logic backpack and a watch by Timex. Both brands are listed at the very end of the credits under "Tie-up with" amoung others. Interestingly Case Logic is not mentioned in Shenmue II's credits even though the bag has like 100 times more screen time there compared to the first game.

I hope they are both able to return but we may have to suffice with generic copies unless Yu is somehow able to do another tie-in with those companies. He was talking about possibly trying to get Coca-Cola involved during a recent Q&A so it may be possible...

The notebook is part of the soul of Shenmue. If it didn't return I imagine most fans would be angry & upset and rightfully so.

Can you give the exact name/model number/whatever of the backpack? I'm interested to know wich one it is exactly that Ryo has. Been looking around for some green ones but they don't match. Well Ryo's bag is obviously old by now, even if it is a 1999 model.

No, Ryo sold them to help make money for the Kickstarter.

I hope Ryo will still have them in Shenmue III. The bag is not that important and it would be enough if it's green and very similar looking. The watch though, that one has to be the exact same. And we still need the feature to closely look at it and play with the light and maybe also that ring thing.
