Greeting Shenmue Allied Forces!
We have been getting a lot of questions asking if Masaya Matsukaze will be the Japanese voice of Ryo for Shenmue 3. Yes, it is official, Mr. Matsukaze will be reprising his role as the voice of Ryo!

Yu-san said Masaya-san and Corey-san were the best fit for the respective Japanese/English voice of Ryo, and couldn’t imagine any different. Big cheers to that!

Monaco Dinner Reward Gets a Special Upgrade
Yu-san has upped the ante for the Monaco Dinner Reward. The location will now be slightly moved to the nearby town of Eze, famous for its history and old world beauty. There, you will actually work with Yu-san to plan a part of Shenmue 3. After the planning session, enjoy a dinner party with Yu-san among this picturesque world of times past.

It's a shame it's such a rich reward. I'm sure many of us would love to go. The 0 backers definitely isn't representative of the value of the reward.

It's going to be some minor game element which won't compensate for not going to Japan.. Really.. So don't worry about it

Option 1: Have a Shenmue Dojo dinner in Japan, land of wonder.

Option 2: Have a 1-on-1 (so far) with Yu in Monaco; get some input on Shenmue 3.

Both offer unique experiences. Both places are expensive, with one (Monaco) being drastically smaller than the other.

Personally, I would probably go with Japan, and try to plan an overall amazing trip there (you could even plan some things with the other dinner members. 3 Gai(koku)jin lost in Tokyo; should be interesting)

Don't you already have your spot saved for Monaco? I'd go there. Sounds like a LOT cooler of a time than Japan, even if Japan is the Shenmue motherland.

WOW Be part of planning in Shenmue 3? I believe Yu Suzuki would listen to the backer for suggestions, so this means Shenmue 3's fate (kind of) literally is in the hands of whoever back this. This reward trumps all others to me, if only I could afford this.
