Without a HUGE showing at PSX, no way. It's only gained about $300,000 in around a year of being available, and would have to do so again in a tenth of the time.

The pc version added to the paypal campaign rewards would certainly boost the donations, but 7 million would be very hard to reach by the end of the year.

As it's been already said, If they put PC version on the slacker backer campaing for once for all and they re-reveal Shenmue 3 on PSX, I'm sure we will reach 7 millions, although by the end of the year is too rushed, it's almost here!

Kickstarter pledge upgrades would help them a lot too. I think a lot of people are hesitant to back a game like this who aren't familiar with it. If they had upgrades, there are probably many people who have additional money they'd be willing to contribute. I doubled my pledge twice during the kickstarter, and I could double it again if they'd make it possible. Or offer add-on tiers, since I'd like it on both platforms.

With massive exposure at PSX, PC version and pledge upgrades, yes it's feasible. Otherwise no.

That's even a bit of a stretch, IMO. We'll be lucky to break $6.7 million by the end of the year... but if the hype train on Shenmue III builds enough I could see it making $7 million before the middle of next year.

I think, if Ys Net opened up a Patreon, then it will reach 7 million easily.

The maths:

$5 a month from 70,000 Shenmue 3 supporters with 12 months left.

5x70,000x12 = $4,200,000

Total amount including current Kickstarter & SlackerBacker = $4,200,000 + $6,659,967 = $10,859,967

Only $140,033 short of the final stretch goal of Bailu village magic maze.

Sure, it's an optimistic appraisal.

Essentially after the 12 months it's $60. YsNet could offer an extra license or exclusive plushie (insert favourite idea) for all Patreons after the 12 months.

If 10% of the 70,000 are hard core and they contributed an extra $60 each until end of the year 2017, then the $7 will be reached.

But in terms of reaching $7m this year, unfortunately no chance.

i believe with a trailer at psx we can get 7 million....but anyway if the paypal will be open until november 2017 for sure we can reach 10 millions. because in the next year tgs we can expect a big trailer and a hd remaster of the originals by sega
