Greetings Everyone,
It has been a long time since our last update, and we are painfully aware you all have been eagerly awaiting the monthly report. All of us here have been so wrapped up in the development process that time seems to have flown by...

But no excuses! We apologize for the lapse and will do our best to bring you updates every month. It is beholden on us to keep you informed (without giving too much away of course!) and will do so as promised.

So here we go with vol. 2 of our dev room reports!

Looks like the game is coming together!

Love that the QTE prompts will use the colors of the PS symbols!

The handy-dandy notebook returns!

Ryo will finally trim his mullet in Shenmue 3???????

:shock: Those qte icons are sooo dreamcast esk! amazing. Ingame Notebook in the background made me squeal... Oh hell yeah baby!!! :twisted:

What a surprise!
I liked a lot this update! It looks promising even though they are using placeholders and old material as they say.

I can feel and see that Shenmue atmosphere everywhere. And Shenhua's house, it looks vandalized!

I'll watch the trailer over and over today! :D

I was just thinking yesterday that an update could come when we least expect it...

Jaw absolutely dropped when we got a peek of what looks like Bailu Village from above. Looks like that artwork Manabu Takimoto was drawing in the April update last year.

Lots of little stuff to pour over until the next one - or E3.

A satisfying update - short but very sweet. Magnifying glasses out!

Very cool to see an arcade machine there.

Totally agree, the rural China setting makes it a little harder to justify the presence of high-tech electronics like arcade machines but I'm glad to see them. It just wouldn't be Shenmue without the opportunity to hit the arcade after a long day.

Has everyone got their e-mail from Kickstarter about this? EDIT: Nevermind, got it just now.

Anyway it's great to finally get an update again. And even though it was short again, it was the biggest insight yet.
They still manage to hide Ryo's face... But everything else is going the right way. For some reason I really like how Ryo moves the chair out of the way. Such a minute and simple thing but it seems so natural to have something like this as a apparently normal button command gameplay scene.

And of course it's great to see the Excite QTE machine and especially the notebook back in full glory!

I went absolutely bananas when I seen that notebook. Shenmue 3 complete notebook guide, oh yes!

The only thing concerning is how Ryo opens the cupboards with "the force".... I'm sure this will be fixed.

Nice to see Ryo's idle stance is now much more relaxed and natural looking.

I think we're all thinking the same thing about the apparent state of Shenhua's house..... :shock:

Nice update :)
btw did you notice that the screen has a white halo the first time we see Ryo moving the chair out of the way (at 0:29)? I wonder if it's a flashback or some kind of "hint mode" triggered by the player as a tutorial.
