Which Shenmue Game is Better?

I think shenmue II is better, because it's longer, and it has better fights etc..

Shenmue 1 for that home like warm feeling I get playing it and other nostalgic emotions.

In maybe a measurable sense Shenmue II is better game but I did not get those feelings from it i did from 1 that made me fall in love with the series.

Shenmue I however i thought was sourt of limited as to where you can go to and what you could do.

Shenmue II however, had so many things to do. Like the shenmue collection or taking photos, it also has more replay value

Shenmue I

Shenmue II just had too many things going on and I liked how everyone knew you in Shenmue I. The huge city was just overwhelming and didn't really work out for me. With Shenmue I I managed to explore every nook and cranny before getting bored but trying to explore the entire city in Shenmue II, I got bored. Still havent explored all the buldings in Kowoloon yet.

Yep.

Shenmue II's a good game and all, and it improves upon its predecessor in many ways, but when it comes down to it, it's just not as fun to play.

we all fell in love with the series because of shenmue I but, shenmue II is better graphic wise, and on some levels fun factor

Yeah, that's exactly it. I always think of it like this...

Shenmue I: More experience than game
Shenmue 2: More game than experience

Even though I love Shenmue II and it is my second favourite game of all time, it just doesn't have the whole untouchable, unexplainable feeling that Shenmue I posseses.
