Yu Suzuki : "Shenmue III Concept Already Exists"

I don't think Suzuki wants to continue the story in Shenmue Gai any more than any of us want him to. So if he has any chance of doing Shenmue III with Shenmue Gai's success, he'll do it. If not, then at the very, very least, we get the story in Facebook.

a little off topic but im praying that when shenmue 3 comes out (knock on wood) there will be a dvd or blu ray movie of shenmue II so it kind of refreshes our mind of what happened then

Wow, just wow. Yu Suzuki has been and will always be my favorite person in the video game industry. He is so committed to making Shenmue 3, I wonder why he doesn't post on this forum.

Even though that is hilarious^, I think he'll get it to us, if not in Shenmue III, then in Gai, if not there, then a book or script release. Some way or another, he'll get his story out.

Sumo Digital would love to make the game. As for the check? Doubt they'd want to take that on.

Sure, they might not have the experience and resources to take on something as huge as Shenmue III. At the very least they have their heart in the right place and that counts.

They seem to enjoy working with Sega, but most of what they did is conversion from arcade games and very dubious games. What games did you enjoy from them?
