Just ordered this game. Will be my 1.5 try at playing.

What is 1.5 you mean?

Allow me to explain. 2 years ago, I got a Dreamcast for my birthday. I got 4 games with it, Sonic Adventure, Unreal Tournament, Ready to Rumble Boxing 2, and Shenmue. I had heard a lot from Gamefaqs about how Shenmue was a must own, and I knew when I saw it in store I had to have it.

I went into the game blind, and made it to..you guessed it, the infamous "Sailors" part, before I got distracted with other projects. I liked the game, but I knew a game like this I would have to devote my time and concentrate on it, I couldn't play it without immersing myself fully in the world.

Well, months went by and I barely touched this Dreamcast. A friend was looking for some retro game consoles, so I gave her my dreamcast with my 4 games.

I regretted that decision soon after, and months went by. Eventually, last summer I managed to buy another Dreamcast. I've slowly been building up a collection for it, and as of a few days ago. Shenmue is currently on it's way to my doorstep, for me to finally play it through to the end.

I know a lot of you wish you could experience the game all over again for the first time, and I have to confess I am truly blessed to experience a game like this totally blind to the experience.

One final note. I've been browsing around various Dreamcast and Shenmue forums, and it's amazing how even Veteran players find something new in the game, even after playing it 10-20 times over. I guess it goes to show how crazy deep this game is.

Re: 'MERICA some towns want gun ownership mandatory

We need guns to protect us from citizens who have guns to protect themselves from other citizens who have guns because other citizens have guns because other citizens have guns..etc.

I just don't see the point of guns. I'm not that paranoid and scared to own one. I'd get a simple handgun for protection purposes if I felt I needed it however, but that's it.

I actually despise western culture, and often times wish I was born more towards the east.

I think it's only a matter of time until we can space travel

I think it's seriously only a matter of time until we can travel across space just as easily as car.

Everybody always talks about how you can't travel at the speed of light, well there was a point in time where scientist thought the world was flat and the sun orbited us.

Do I think it will happen in my lifetime? No. I think by the end of my lifetime we might be able to take vacations to the moon, maybe.

I think this is easily the worst period to be alive in. You were born too late to explore the world, and you were born too early to explore the galaxy. It sucks.

America has a sick obsession with guns.

Before I talk a bit about this, lemme just stress the fact I see no harm in owning a handgun for home protection, or a rifle or two to hunt with, even though I am personally against hunting.

My views on the 2nd amendment are that it was written over 200 years ago when it took 30 minutes to reload and a native american attack was not uncommon.

Obviously I am in favor of gun control, but not of outright banning them.

Anyway. America has a sick obsession with guns, like, unhealthy. Everybody has to be carrying, everybody. You're not a man if you don't own a gun. There's nothing wrong with owning a device that can shoot 200 RPM, there's several logic reasons one would need to own such a gun.

The only problem is that every gun statistic on the planet goes against what these gun nuts are trying to preach to us about how guns are our friends and protect us

1)Just by owning a gun, you are 4.5 times more likely to get shot than someone who doesn't own a gun
2)More bystanders get injured in shootings than the people who the shooters are actually trying to shoot.
3)Using a gun to defend yourself? Studies show that people who had time to react and counter a gun assault were 5.45 times more likely to be shot
4) Statistically speaking, by having a gun you think more people have guns which causes people to accidentally shoot others
5) The same statistic shows that Blacks were the most targeted out of the people
6) The most gun violence happens in poor, uneducated, rural towns
7) By owning a gun, the chances of a person committing suicide S-K-Y-R-O-C-K-E-T

Now there are a bunch of statistics that show guns aren't bad and that bacon grease kills more people than handguns do, but generally speaking, anytime a gun is involved, it is more likely the situation will get worse rather than better.
