So this merchandise is officially licensed eh? I might be making mountains out of molehills here but who thinks that is pretty significant?

Perhaps from royalty sales Sega will have enough dosh to fund Shenmue III

It is official, unfortunately for me. They have the "Shenmue" stitching on the inner labels as far as i know, so the license has been leased to this manufacturer. The only other piece of Shenmue clothing to exist before these were the limited edition official Shenmue T-Shirts given out at TGS 1999, which has the same logo stitching on the inside.

By the way, I say "unfortunately for me" because it means i have to buy these for my collection, and not only are they expensive, but i dont think they look all that great to be honest.
