I still enjoy watching some DB/Z from time to time, but DBS was pretty bad.

Also I loved saint saiya (Knights of the zodiac lol), but I watch it now and think that Seiya is bland as fuck.

Dude DBS is only like 14 episodes aired, how can you go and say "DBS was pretty bad", we havent even seen shit yet. Its way to early on to make the final say about DBS, but I personally see nothing wrong with it so far, and the beerus battle was cool. I am actually enjoying the different take on the material from Battle of Gods because 1. I like Battle of Gods 2. So far DBS has been alot like BoG but much more expanded upon story wise and things just seem to make a bit more sense with this version, and its not rushed like trying to fit all that into a hour and a half movie.

It seems to me that BoG and Ressurection F and DBS seemed to geared a little more toward the general Dragon Ball fans, and not just DBZ, and for this I am rejoicing. Take Pilaf in DBS and BoG for instance, I personally love emporer Pilafs character as hes funny as shit. I am loving DBS because its taking it back old school in alot of ways and implementing aspects from the original Dragon Ball, which I also like as a huge fan of the first series, I like the comic relief aspects in DB. I get why alot of people arent liking it right now, but im just over here like I think its great for all the reasons you dont like it *shrug*

The first movie was shit, and the second movie was no real "challenge" (the whole movie was great for me, but not the "real battle").

Pilaf was also on DBGT and it was just a simple device.

I've seen only 5 (this is a guess) chapters of DBS, but also the 2 movies, and I just don't see it. Seems like milking the series like Saint seiya omega. There's nothing wrong on that, but I just can't get invested on always Goku beating the shit of everyone.

DBZ Goku fought oponents that were better than him, in DBZ there's Gohan that should be "the one to balance the force", while he's getting stronger. Gohan is now the same bullshit and some cat guy is the strong guy Goku should beat/train with.

That's why I like the new eva movies, they're the same good shit, but they do some kind of twist. In these shonen stuff is "I'm not strong, lol traning, fuck you".

I definitely prefer the movies to the show. I think telling a story over 100 minutes is far more compelling than trying to stretch the same amount of story across over a dozen and a half episodes. If it were the same amount of content split across a proportionate amount of time per episode, perhaps even a little less to include more detail, it would be fine. But when it feels like it's stretching it to maximize the number of episodes they can squeeze out of it, it feels like filler. AG and I will just have to agree to disagree over preference in pacing.

There is no fucking story in those movies.

That's why when you see it it's like "there was no fucking shit here".

There's so much of hair coloring you can do on a character till it becomes stupid and meaningless (yeah, everyone can become ninja gaiden 213 doing stuff).

There were some great villains in there freeza was the last one (he fucking killed your father because your race was a problem), then they made bardok leap in time so he became super, that's just stupid.

Have to say Saint Seiya Omega opening is fucking awesome.
