Not saying it's right, but if it sells that many copies then yeh, I can't fault them for making more. I just feel that the bubble has truly burst with the whole XIII 'series'. People got burned initially on XIII, and those who stuck around with XIII-2 lived in hope that it would be a better game, and it was, but probably realised the story and setting was pretty lackluster to continue supporting it. Unless there's some radical changes with XIII-3 (Christ...) like a new setting, a new approach and what have you, then I don't think fans will buy it.
As for Versus XIII, it would make much more sense to rename it as XV at this point. It looks dramatically different enough from XIII to warrant the name change, and I doubt anyone will care. The cancellation probably also goes back to a point I had made way back when I said that the type of game Versus XIII was going to be is too ambitious for current gen consoles given the amount of time and money that's needed to make a full HD FF game with world map and all the unique assets that SE needs to build.
