That's awesome. You brought the good vibes to Clemson this year.
And Gonzaga is still going strong. 13-1 (Only loss is too the great Illinois team), just beat #22 Oklahoma State in Stillwater,OK where they are 108-5 since 1987 in non conference games. Start conference play tomorrow at Pepperdine and still have a hard non-con game later this month at Butler.
Edit: Oh yeah, 5-0 against the Big 12. They beat West Virginia, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Kansas State and Baylor!

(Those last three, maybe even U of W, are never out of question lately)

Spokane wrote: Well Brothaman, looks like Gonzaga might be #1 come Monday. Since Indiana lost and everything. Only team in the way is a team they should have no trouble with, Portland here in Spokane. Last night we knew it would not be a gimme game at BYU but they pulled it off. First time in school/team history they will be #1, here's to hoping I didn't just jinx them come Saturday's game to seal the deal on being the #1 team in the country.
Plus, even if they seal the deal the conference tourney they will probably be facing some team's that could give them trouble like Saint Mary's and BYU again, even Santa Clara. You just never know, just because they have beat them in the regular season doesn't mean they are guaranteed to win at the WCC tourney in Las Vegas. But they have clinched the conferance title for sure, Saint Mary's is two games behind at 13-2, the only 2 losses being to Gonzaga!![]()
So when they win Saturday they will be 29-2, the only two losses being to Illinois who was #13 at the time and to Butler at Butler at the buzzer who was also #13 at that time. They have not lost to an unranked team like the other top 10 teams have been doing and the beat a few teams that went into the top 25 after they beat them like Kansas State, even the teams that have been #1 have been falling a lot, this year many upsets have been handed out.
So it will be good to see them as #1 if they don't blow it, but the NCAA tournament is where they need to prove to people that they deserved it.
